We recommend that you always start with the GOV UK website to make your Lasting Power of Attorney. Many people also find it helpful to discuss with their solicitor who can also help them to complete and submit their Lasting Power of Attorney.

An experienced solicitor will guide you through the process, will often help you think of things you may not have otherwise considered and will assist with registering the document at the Office of the Public Guardian. Only LPAs that have been registered may be used by the named Attorneys
